PICK-6 $6.3 MILLION JACKPOT TICKET SOLD IN ESSEX COUNTY
TRENTON (Jan. 17, 2020) – One lucky ticket matched all six numbers drawn for the Thursday, Jan. 16, Pick-6 drawing winning the $6.3 million annuity jackpot. The cash value of the ticket is more than $4.8 million. The winning ticket was sold at White Oak Liquors, 418 Union Ave., Belleville in Essex County. The lucky retailer will receive a bonus of $10,000 for selling that winning ticket.
The winning numbers for the Thursday, Jan. 16, drawing were: 16, 19, 28, 38, 45 and 49. The XTRA Multiplier was: 04. The jackpot for the Pick-6 game has reset to $2 million. The next drawing will be held Monday, Jan. 20.
Acting Executive Director James Carey said, “I look forward to meeting the winner of this significant jackpot prize and learning how it may impact their life.”
In addition to the jackpot winner, Carey reported that for correctly matching five out of the six white balls drawn, six ticketholders won $4,518 each. Two of those tickets were purchased with XTRA, multiplying the prize to $18,072. In addition, thousands of other prizewinning tickets were sold.
Acting Executive Director James Carey announced that there were 542,176 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four numbers, 386 ticketholders won $67 each and 58 others won $268 each with the addition of XTRA. Moreover, for correctly matching three numbers, 7,661 ticketholders won $3.00 each and 1,131 others won $12 each with the addition of XTRA. Lastly, 8,815 ticketholders each won $2.00 for correctly matching two numbers with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
