Early Morning Ticket Run Gives Camden County
Resident 200,000 Reasons to have a Great Day
TRENTON (Oct. 30, 2019) Michael L. of Blackwood in Camden County is a frequent New Jersey Lottery player who has been playing both Scratch-Offs and draw games for years. On his way into work, Michael stopped by his regular retailer to purchase a few different Instant Games. While still in the store, he decided to check if he was holding any winners. To his surprise, his very first ticket, a $500 Frenzy scratcher, turned out to be a $200,000 winner!
Michael couldn’t grasp what he saw, so as he handed the employee his ticket to scan, he exclaimed, “You aren’t going to believe this!” The excited clerk called the store owner over who congratulated him on his win. Upon arriving at work, Michael told a co-worker about his good fortune. The next week that same coworker drove Michael down to Lottery Headquarters to validate his ticker. When asked what his plans are with his winnings, he said to purchase a new car and put a down payment on a house.
The New Jersey Lottery retailer that sold the winning ticket was Xpress Mart, 107 Egg Harbor Rd., Sewell in Gloucester County.
