One New Jersey Lottery Ticket Wins $1,000,000
One Ticket Wins $100,000, Three Tickets Win $50,000
TRENTON (March 18, 2019) – Without a winner for Saturday’s Powerball drawing, the jackpot has climbed to $550 million ($335 million cash value), the 8th largest in Powerball history. There was one New Jersey Lottery ticket sold that matched five of the five white balls drawn for the Saturday, March 16th drawing winning the $1,000,000 second-tier prize. If that ticket had been purchased with Power Play, it would have multiplied the prize to $2,000,000. The winning ticket from Saturday night’s drawing was sold at Baldwin News & Food Store, 138 Baldwin Rd., Parsippany in Morris County.
In addition to the second-tier prizewinning ticket sold, there were four New Jersey Lottery tickets sold that matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn winning the $50,000 third-tier prize. One of those tickets was purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option, multiplying the prize to $100,000. The winning ticket from Saturday night’s drawing was sold at the following locations:
- Monmouth County ($100,000): Stop & Shop #2812, 160 Village Center Dr., Freehold;
- Atlantic County ($50,000): Main Petroleum Corp., 864 N. Main St., Pleasantville;
- Bergen County ($50,000): 7-Eleven #39556, 100 W. Madison Ave., Dumont; and
- • Passaic County ($50,000): Nana Pena Grocery Deli Market, 276 Trenton Ave., Paterson.
The winning numbers for the Saturday, March 16th drawing were: 30, 34, 39, 53 and 67. The Red Power Ball number was 11. The Multiplier number was 02. The Powerball jackpot rolls to $550,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Wednesday, March 20th at 10:59 pm.
Moreover, there were 120,578 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $578,379 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Acting Executive Director James Carey.
“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said Carey. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase. Power Play doubles the second prize from one million dollars to two million dollars and multiplies all of the seven lower prize sets available in the game by the number drawn that evening. The jackpot prize is not multiplied.”
