Instant Games Players Received More Than $99.7 Million in Prizes in September
TRENTON (Oct. 12, 2017) – Michael G. of Philadelphia, PA, commutes to New Jersey from Philadelphia each day for his job at a Print Shop. On the way he stops at the Pantry 1 for a beverage and an Instant Game ticket. He was playing the Casino Royale Instant Game, “from Slot 15 at the store,” for a few weeks until the new 20X the Bucks game caught his eye and decided to give it a try. There were not winners in the first few days of play but he decided to purchase one more ticket.
When Michael arrived at work, he began scratching his ticket and saw that one of his numbers matched a winning number, 18. He was anxious to see what he had won, but didn't expect more than $10 or $20. As he revealed the prize, he saw "$200" and was very happy, but as he continued to remove the latex it revealed a $200,000 prize.
"Is this real?" Michael asked a coworker, who confirmed the matching numbers and prize amount. Michael arrived at Lottery HQ a few days later to file his claim. Michael said that he will use some of the winnings to pay down some current bills and debts. After that, he and his wife are looking forward to taking their first proper vacation in 20 years. Michael’s lucky ticket was purchased at Pantry 1 Food Mart, 4040 Marlton Pike, Pennsauken in Camden County.
Another winner this month was Diane Miliotis of Rahway in Union County. She enjoys playing various Instant Games. Her husband, Vasos, knows how much she enjoys playing them so when he saw that there was a raffle at work for which the prize was a basket of scratch-off tickets, he didn’t hesitate to participate. Their luck began when he won the basket and surprised Diane with it. Soon after receiving the gift, Diane scratched a Sizzlin' Hot 7's Instant Game ticket that was as hot as its name and delivered a $17,777 prize win. Diane was elated to share the news with her husband. The couple will use a portion of the prize to pay some bills, put some into savings, and to take a small vacation together to celebrate. The lucky basket of tickets was purchased at Old Bridge Shoprite, 2239 US Highway 9, Old Bridge in Middlesex County.
